Review: Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge San Francisco

We went down to the Bay Area to visit some friends. On our return flight, we had the opportunity to check out the new Maple Leaf Lounge in the San Francisco airport – which opened up in July, 2023.

The lounge is located in Terminal 2 of the airport. Once past security, turn left into the first hallway to find the elevator up to the 4th floor. This lounge has the electronic gates for you to scan your boarding pass to gain entry.

Once past the front desk, there is a long room with seating and a mural of San Francisco at the end.

Off to the right of this room were some workspaces.

As well as some smaller rooms.

At the end of the long room, to the right, is a food area and a bar.

In the food area, there was some citrus water and some strawberry juice.

As well as a self-serve machine for pop.

There was a hot/cold water dispenser and tea.

And some machines to make various coffee drinks.

There was a selection of cold food items.

As well as a selection of hot food items.

Just past the food area was the bar.

At the bar you could get some cocktails along with beer, wine and expresso drinks. We ended up trying the sparkling rose wine and it was quite good.

Just past the bar was another seating area on the right.

And just past this area was the access to the outdoor patio.

On the patio there was some comfortable seating, along with a mural.

It was a perfect day to sit out on the patio and watch the planes come in.

I really liked this lounge. There was a lot of different seating areas to choose from. With the bar and the large selection of food items, it felt like an international maple leaf lounge that you would find in Toronto or Vancouver. Definitely a step up from any Air Canada domestic or trans-border lounges I’ve been in.
